This one's for you, Texarkana!

Hi! It's me. Thomas. Thomas Tessier. The one who writes this blog. Remember? I know you've probably forgotten what I look like since mommy has been NEGLECTFUL IN HER DUTIES OF POSTING, but it's really me. I promise. And I'm fine. All is well. I'd like to send a special shout out to the ladies in Texarkana who picked up the phone and called daddy inquiring as to where the latest blog post was. Thanks ladies. Sometimes these two need a bit of a fire lit beneath them, and you did just that. So, this one's for you!

Lots of new developments in my life lately. As you can see from the picture above, I'm sitting quite nicely these days. I haven't quite figured out how to get into that position on my own, but if mommy puts me there, I have no trouble staying. Which is why I am now allowed to ride in shopping carts!

The view from up here is quite nice, and I so enjoyed my first excursion to the store. I had lots to say, and spoke to many lovely people along the way. I directed mommy on things she should buy me, including my brand new bath seat:
I'm not sure yet how I feel about this seat. I so enjoyed lying in my hammock and kicking my feet at bath time, and this chair doesn't allow for that. But, I do now see that there are actually toys in the tub with me, and that IS an interesting discovery. If only there were some way to incorporate my love of toys, with my desire to lounge and have mommy bathe me like a little prince. . . .
I'm going to work on that.

In addition to sitting up, shopping, and bathing, I've been eating lots of veggies lately. I know you're not surprised. You've seen my muscles, and those don't come without a proper diet. I have now enjoyed the flavors of carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans and sweet peas. I would have to say that while I love them all, sweet potatoes are by far my favorite.
Mommy says that I have to eat lots of veggies in order to grow up big and strong so I can play baseball for LSU. Apparently I'm not going to be allowed to play football as it is too dangerous for her baby. (Eye roll.) Whatever. In any case, I've already started saving for college. My great grandparents, otherwise known as Maman and Pawpaw gave me a new bank, and have already started putting pennies in it for me.
I am especially fond of this bank because it has an Indian on it, and I know how to sound like a little Indian. First I open my mouth and hum like this: AAAAAAHHHHHHH. Then mommy takes her hand and quickly covers my mouth and then uncovers it, again and again. It's my war call. Others find it very entertaining too, as I kept several people in the Wal-Mart check out line in stitches the other day as I performed. Those people so need entertainment. Have you stood in a Wal-Mart check out line lately? What a nightmare! Anyway, now all I need is a cool head dress like Mr. Indian has on my bank, and I'm set!

So, I know it took FOREVER, but I hope this blog post satisfied your cravings for Thomas, and gave you the fix you've been looking for. And don't be shy about calling mommy and daddy out when they neglect their duties. The Texarkana ladies did just that, and we've all been rewarded because of it.

See you soon, my adoring fans,
Thomas
