A recap of the last few weeks

Well, hello there!
It's been a while since I've been on, but it's been a busy few weeks with the holidays, my birthday, family visits and baptisms. I'll try to fill you in on all the goings on around here. To begin with, I have attached the video of my first real walk, as promised. For some reason, it only posts on the bottom of this post, but you can watch it at the end. This video was taken on December 12th, and I surprised Daddy when he got home from his basketball coaching.

That was a pretty exciting day, but not nearly as exciting as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is when Santa comes, as you all know. And while he didn't obey my wishes of leaving my gifts outside, I felt a lot better about him coming after Great Grandpa read me The Night Before Christmas.
He used to read it every year to Mommy (second from left in a most unlady like position), Aunt Chimene (far left), Uncle Al (to Mommy's right), and all the various cousins (Cousin Paul in this pic), but this year, it was just read to me!
It was a fascinating story!
The next morning was AWESOME! Santa brought me so much STUFF, and he left it at SO MANY houses! He went to our house, to Abuela and Gramps' house, to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Scott's! I got a wagon and a train and puzzles and a rocking horse and blocks and more blocks and a jack in the box that makes me giggle everytime it pops and . . . . Woooo, I can't remember it all.
I was so overwhelmed, but thrilled by it all. Unfortunately, I started feeling sort of rotten that day, and it turns out I had a double ear infection which was a real stinker.

We didn't get confirmation of that until the 28th though, but before that was my 1st birthday!!!! Can you believe that on December 27th I turned 1 year old? I have the same birthday as my cousin Amanda!

We celebrated that day at Cousin Noah's baptism

After the ceremony, we had a party for him at Aunt Nancy's. I still wasn't feeling well, but I gave Noah some hugs and congratulated him on his big day.

After I got the whole ear debacle cleared up, we had my 1st birthday party.
Can you believe that I got MORE GIFTS??!!!

The best part though, was getting my very first taste of cake. Talk about delicious! No wonder mommy's been keeping me from this stuff, it can be quite addictive.

It looked so good, even Noah wanted some!

So, that's what's been going on around here. I'm all over the place now, even running a good bit. Amos and I play catch a lot these days, or rather I take Amos's ball and run around while Amos tries to catch me. It's a lot of fun, and we can do it inside, which is good since it's been way too cold to go outside. I can't wait to take my first wagon ride when it warms up.
I hope you all are staying warm, wherever you are. See you soon.
