There's a little girl in our neighborhood
Here name is Sadie and she's really looking good
I had to go and see her, so I called her on the phone
Her doggie was on the sofa, chewin on a bone
Her mamma was in the kitchen makin' crawfish pie
Her daddy was on the back porch rolling up the garden hose
I was on the front porch with Sadie feelin' happy down to my toes
And we were swingin' (swinging)Yes we were swingin' (swinging)
Now little Sadie she's as pretty as the angels when they sing
I can't believe I'm out here on the front porch swing
Just a swingin' (swinging) Just a swingin' (swinging)

Edited to Add:
Daddy sent the blog around to some friends, and Mary Beck, one of his Arkansas peeps suggested this addition. Mommy and I thought it was so great, we're posting it:
Sadie in her pink, looking fine that day
Moving with the wind, my heart began to sway
When it was time to go I grabbed Sadie by her ear
“Don’t forget me Sadie, you’re my darlin’ dear
And we were swingin' (swinging)Yes we were swingin' (swinging)Now little Sadie she's as pretty as the angels when they singI can't believe I'm out here on the front porch swingJust a swingin' (swinging) Just a swingin'
If you have any verses you'd like to add, feel free to pass them along.
Girl your blogs are so funny! And Thomas is sooooo cuuuuuuuute!!! = ) I've gotta remember to keep up better with your blog so I've added you to my reading list. I sure wish we could see each other next time I'm in town.
