Fun and Games

Well, Hello There! How You Doin'?
You can call me Maverick.
This is my Wing Man, Amos, but you can call him Goose. We're just hangin' out, waiting on a pretty Lady to show up, so we can woo her with our charm and brooding good looks.
HA! Fooled ya. It's just me, Thomas, playing around with some sunglasses. I'm not really an Ace Fighter Pilot. Yet.
Anyway, I haven't been around the blog much these days, as you've no doubt noticed. I'm quite the busy bee lately, and I rarely let mommy take pictures of me these days because I much prefer to hold the camera myself, push as many buttons as possible, and then throw the camera down in frustration.
I'll be 18 months in a couple of weeks, so I'm quite active lately. Everyone keeps telling mommy that this age is the most fun. I keep telling her the same thing. She says her idea of fun is a little different, but I think she's just upset because I bit her. And Abuela. 5 times. In 2 days. And then I dropped Daddy with a love nibble to his leg. But, I don't get what everyone is so upset about. I mean it was FUNNY when they screeched when I bit down. Plus, all the baby books say that biting just means that I'm secure enough with them to express my frustration. So, you'd think that would make them happy. Plus, black, blue and purple are good colors on mommy, so her bruises accessorize beautifully. Regardless, they must not be too mad, because in response to all the biting, mommy made up this new game to play called Time Out. Oh BOY is it fun. See, what happens is after I bite, Mommy will tell me no, then take me off to the side and sit me on a pillow on the floor. She makes this stern looking face, and I can't help it, it's funny, so I laugh. She then says no, again, and tells me to sit on the pillow. Then she turns away. So, naturally, I stand up. Giggling. Here comes mommy again, with her nos, and her stern face, and her sitting me back down on the pillow. I stand up again, laughing. She's back again. By the time mommy throws her hands up in frustration (which she always does), I am in outright hysterics. I love this game, and I have to say, I'm REALLY good at it. Mommy, not so much, but I'm sure with some practice she'll get better.
The other day, Daddy came home with a new toy. They're called Golf Clubs. Daddy apparently had visions of me being the next Tiger Woods (before the scandal)

But I had visions of Elin (during the scandal)

Daddy must be a fan of the Time Out game too, because I find I get to play it more often when I break out the clubs. In fact, one of my clubs is permanently dented from whacking something.

I usually hit Amos, who takes it well, but today I hit mommy, and she did not. But then she wanted to play Time Out, so I'm confused. I mean, is she mad, or does she want to play?

What I don't understand is if I'm not supposed to do all this stuff, why is it here? If I'm not supposed to push the button on the receiver that turns off the stereo, t.v. and dvd player all at once, WHY is it there? That's why when Mommy tells me not to push it, I think she really means, push it. So I do.
I will say that I'm not only biting, hitting, and playing Time Out these days. I also L-O-V-E to dance. Here I am with Sadie, singing and dancing with the Shaky Egg Lady at Brew Ha-Ha.

She was fun. I'm also doing a little reading these days:

And playing dress up a lot.

Mommy says that all of these things are fun, and I should do lots more of these, and running, and playing. And I will. But sometimes it's fun to mix it up a little. Keep her guessing.
Today I'm at my Grandma's for the day. Amelia's coming in for a visit and I'm pretty excited. Mommy's been showing me her pictures a lot lately. She's a cute little thing, and I love to give her hugs and kisses.
So, see you soon. I'll try to pause every now and then so mommy can get a picture of me. And don't be discouraged, this is just a phase. I'll go back to my sweet loving self soon. Maybe.
