I'm Baaaaack!

Miss me? Need I ask? Mommy's been pretty lazy the last week. She claims it's exhaustion because Daddy was traveling last week and she was alone with me, blah blah blah. I had a serious talking with her today and explained to her that my people needed me. You needed me. I think she gets it now, but sheesh, she is a hard headed little lady.

Anyhoo, it was a wild weekend over here. Well, I should say it was a wild weekend for mommy and daddy who were apparently living it up at something called mardi gras all weekend. What was I doing, you ask? Well, being abandoned by them of course. Yeah, that's right. My parents left me on Saturday AND Sunday so they could go catch beads. On Saturday I was left with Abuela. All day. I was not amused.

I'm not going to lie, Abuela is great. My dainty head never touches the bed or anything other than her chest the entire time we are together. She never puts me down. But come on. Mommy and Daddy are out there living it up, and I'm stuck at home, vomiting and pooping. Daddy said there were a lot of derelicts at the party they were going to, and since I hadn't had my shots yet, it wasn't safe.

But it seemed like they had a lot of fun. They caught beads and daddy caught something he kept calling a hang over. It looked like fun! At least for mommy, who was doing a lot of laughing about it. Then on Sunday, THEY LEFT ME AGAIN! This time with Grandma. And again, Grandma is great. Held the whole time, constantly told I'm beautiful (duh). Yeah, it's great. But I want to see what all the fuss is with these parades. They had the audacity to come home with this ball for me.
Daddy was all proud because we're going to play catch. Do I look like I can play catch right now? I mean really. Did you think this would distract me from my abandonment issues?
Daddy leaves for a trip tomorrow, and he's pretty sad about it, so I'm allowing him some snuggle time.
But don't think this means I'm over it. If I don't get to see some parades next year, there will be hell to pay. And I think we can all agree that as angelic as I look, I'm quite good at making your life miserable. :) Well, I'm pretty sleepy, and it's about bed time, so toodles, and Happy Mardi Gras!
