On Saturday, the Tigers were trailing the Baylor Bears (which just sounds ridiculous in my opinion), so I put on daddy's hat to rally the troops, and sure enough, the Tigers mounted a come back.
Daddy's hat was a little big for me, but thankfully we remembered that Daddy's Aunt Bonnie gave me a hat recently. It's a toddler's size, but mommy pulled it as tight as it would go, and it fit me just fine. In fact, it sort of resembled the way Coach Les Miles wears his hat, and everyone knows that's just the coolest thing ever. I practiced wearing my hat Sunday afternoon when Abuela, Gramps and Aunt Chimene came for a visit. It seemed to work its charms on them, so I knew it would work for the game. FEAR THE HAT!
When I woke up from my nap I was refreshed and ready to cheer the Tigers to victory. That night, when the Tigers and Gophers (seriously, that's their mascot) took the field, I put on my hat and waited. Things were going a bit slow, so I decided in the second inning that I needed to pull out all the stops. That's right ladies, I unleashed the abs and pecs.
Now, I'm not saying that my muscles have super powers, but shortly after undressing to only my skivvies, the Tigers scored 3 runs. Then mommy put my pajamas on, and they promptly got 2 outs to end the inning. I'm just saying, I'm not entirely sure it was a coincidence.
Anyway, I don't really remember too much of what happened after that. I started drinking, and well, that stuff just goes straight to my head, and I guess I must have passed out, cause the next thing I know it's Monday morning and time to go to work. Mommy said the Tigers won, which, please, like a team with a mascot of a Gopher is going to win. So, now it's on to the Super Regionals. I hope that doesn't mean I need a bigger hat. More likely, I'll just have to up my push ups this week.
What a precious Tiger fan! I bet the ladies love him, especially when he takes off his shirt : )
