I got to play in it for a while, but it was cold, and to be honest, I wasn't that much of a fan.
Then, the day after it snowed, we had the Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade. Now that was crazy! Here are some pictures from the parade. This is one of me lounging on Ms. Broussard's gorilla after a hard afternoon of partying:
And here are a couple of me flirting shamelessly with Sweet Mae.

My little Petunia wasn't feeling well, so I was trying to distract her.
Mommy took several videos of me at the parade, but Blogger is not cooperating with their download. We're going to try to download them from the home computer tonight, and if possible, we'll post them later. In any case, I loved Mardi Gras. I prefered to be exploring in Grandpa's yard, rather than at the noisy parade. But I sure enjoyed watching all the people, and dancing to the music.
Shortly after Spanish Town, mommy and daddy abandoned me to go to Arkansas for a whole week, under the pretense that Daddy had a lot of work to do up there. I was not pleased. As a consequence of this little trip, a couple of things happened. First, I got to eat a lot of bad food. For example, Abuela reported to mommy one day that I ate a Jr. Whopper. Somehow the Jr. was supposed to comfort mommy, but it did not. She lectured Abuela on giving me a heart condition. But you know what I say about that? If you want me to eat well, you DON'T ABANDON ME. Abuela agreed. Second, I grew. A lot. The first thing to grow on me was my hair. But not like you think. Apparently I am incapable of growing hair on the top of my head. It will only grow on the sides and back. Mommy affectionately refers to it as a skirted eggshell; the eggshell being the bald top of my head, which is skirted by hair on the sides and back. Isn't she hilarious? Here are some pictures.
In addition to my hair, I just grew in general. And not just around my waist because I ate poorly. I actually grew taller. When mommy got home, all of my pants were too short, and none of my shoes fit on my fat feet. This growth was a strategic move on my part to ensure mommy and daddy don't ever leave me for such a long time again. If you leave, you miss out on some very important stuff, and your child gets heart disease and looks like a rag-a-muffin because nothing fits. I'm just saying. Think long and hard before you leave again.
No doubt feeling guilty for her long absence, mommy took me on a shopping spree and got me some new pants and three new pairs of shoes. Two for play and one for dress. Here's a picture of one of my play shoes (incidentally the pants are being held up for picture purposes, they aren't that short.)

After all the excitement in my life, we were so excited last week when we got a card and letter from our friends Mrs. Joni and Mr. Roland announcing the arrival of their little girl Katherine Rose. If you click on the picture it will get bigger. Isn't she adorable!
Included with her picture was the incredible story of how she came to her mommy and daddy. Again, click and it will get large enough to read. It made my mommy cry (eye roll), but I'll admit, it's a good story.

My your kid sure does have an extensive vocabulary for a toddler ; ) Love it! Yes they always find a way to make us feel guilty for leaving them.
